Me trying to eat my breakfast in peace is next to impossible!! Even though my son (20 months) has eaten his breakfast, he is like a vulture on a dead carcass when I am trying to eat mine, especially if I have yogurt! OMG, he gets down right pi$$ed if he can't have some...even if he's had a whole banana and cheerios already! SHEESH! I share with him a lot but my whole breakfast experience is stressful because he won't leave me alone!!! :grumble:

lmao too funny! Taylor has just started doing the puppy dog face and pulling on my skirt or pant leg while I'm eating..lol it's too cute to resist. Lucky for me she doesn't eat big bites yet. Boy, I'll really lose some weight in a few months! :) Good luck Tami..try eating in the bathroom

LOL, I know exactly how you feel, like you have to have a hiding place just to get to eat your own meal. My six year old eats his breakfast and lunch before me, so the minute he sees me preparing mine he's all over me like ants at a picnic lol. I usually end up giving him half. Then there is my 7 month old who is already reaching for our food, I used to be able to have him on my lap while I was eating a meal, if he was cranky, but lately most of my meals end up on the floor from his little hands lol.

My oldest son is almost 10, my daughter almost 4 and my baby boy almost 1...still waiting for that peaceful meal-and it's not just my baby that interrupts it!!

I know, same here!! And sometimes I feel like jeez...I only get so much food per day!! LOL

This happens to me more at dinner...I make them all dinner and they eat it before I can even sit down to eat mine....then they eat part of mine too!

You won't really get a peaceful meal again until he leaves for college! But then you'll actually miss the interruptions and even all the messes they made. Go figure!

(I'm just joking, but really in a lot of ways the commotion never really ends until they leave.)

I know it's easy for me to say this because I do remember how tired and annoyed I used to get, but try to really enjoy these crazy days. They pass by before you know it, and even though they can be hectic and annoying at times, you really do miss them when they are over.

Ya, I'd like to know where I can sign up for just one piece of quite while we eat. I'm so sick of "see food," yammering, rattling, laughing, singing, tapping, and...well...My kids are really really really good... But is it too much to ask for them to be perfect angels and wait on me hand and foot without speaking? SERIOUSLY!

My husband and I joke that we will never be the couple saying, "Man, I just wish my kid would have told me what was going on in school! If they would have just spoke to me!" It is great that they talk...but MAN! Sometimes I forget where my train is...I mean brain!
