I'm coming back to this because thats about the only kind of fast walking I do unless its slow walking outside, but nothing nowhere estimates how many calories are burned. Even Leslie Sansone workouts don't even estimate a burn.

Why don't you just search "walking" in the database? And pick a slow pace? That's my only advice really.

I usually track my walk away the pounds dvd workouts as 'aerobics: low impact' and take a few minutes off of the workout time to account for the warm up and cool down. I feel it is pretty accurate when you take into account the arm movements and side steps, kicks, etc. and it's been working for me. :)

I was researching this last night and found a quote from Leslie Sansone on this. She does say in another place that the miles on her stuff is calculated by the beat of the music, so it would depend on how fast you were walking in place. Anyway, in an interview, Leslie said that you could expect to burn 100 to 125 calories per mile on her DVDs. She also mentions that is is likely more if you are using hand weights or some of her other "boosters." One of her miles usually takes between 12 and 15 minutes on most of her DVDs, I think. She does mention that calorie burn is impacted by things like age, weight, gender, etc., so she says the 100-125 is a rough estimate. Has anybody lost weight doing just Leslie Sansone's DVDs as exercise?
