Really struggling

So i've just bought some weights. Have some dumbbells and a barbell.
Struggling to find an exercise which works my abs. Have tried things like the side bend but can't feel it doing anything...
Anyone got any ideas? At the minute the only one I can feel is weighted crunch.

Every exercise you do you should be engaging your core. I find that over head press with the barbell kills my core as well. Squats and barbell rows will also strengthen your core significantly.0

Bodybuilding.com has a ton of different ab workouts. I've recently added goblet squats and really feel them in my core.
