I know I don't have much logged but I'm having a hard time getting my macros right. Any suggestions on how to change up what I'm eating to fit my macros better would be welcome.
I was doing a modified fast (and I didn't do that good at it) last week, so a more accurate view of what I normally eat is from Jan 2-10, Dec 10-19 and yesterday-today. Looking back at my tracking it's quite obvious I need to track on weekends and track consistently!

Hi no help but can you tell me what a macro is? I see it mentioned quite a lot but not sure what people are referring to.

You're eating a lot of fruit and some veggie which is great but you need some protein. Add meat to your salad. Greek yogurt with you fruit for breakfast. That would help you meet your calorie goal too.0

That week was a fruit/veggie fast where I had a few slip ups. It's not how I typically eat.0 -
Sorry didn't catch that. What percentages are your macros set at? Seems like not enough protein. You eat very low cal earlier in the day (just fruit and salad) and then eat a more balanced dinner. I would lower your carb percentage and up your protein and then add some protein to breakfast and lunch. I would be starving my dinner time if that is all I ate earlier in the day.0

It looks like I'm at 50/20/30- I don't know if that's something I set or not...
My breakfast is normally a burrito that I make- tortilla, egg, salsa, hamburger & cheese. That's a big step up from the banana I used to eat for breakfast. I was never a breakfast person so that's a lot for me to eat in the morning.
Suggestions on what to substitute for what would be very helpful. I tend to shop for the same things every week, so it's very out of the box for me, exactly what carbs I should be switching to what proteins.0 -
The have mine set at 40/30/30. I would at least increase protein to 30 percent. This will help prevent muscle loss and keep you fuller. The burrito sounds good. Maybe just add some chicken, tuna, hardboiled egg or something like that with your salad. Or Greek yogurt on the side if you don't want meat at every meal.0

Sorry if I wrote that wrong- I have 50% carb, 20% fat, 30% protein. I can definitely add tuna or an egg to my salad. I usually have Greek yogurt in the afternoon- I do eat it almost every day already I also keep string cheese on hand.0

I think in general your breakfast and dinner are pretty balanced. If you add some protein to you lunch it should be very close and you can just tweak the amount of each item to fit the macros. I usually prelog my day and make adjustments until it gets close to my macros. For example, have 1/4 cup rice instead of 1/2 cup if your carbs look over for the day. Or 1 cup of yogurt instead of half cup to meet your protein. If you eat mostly the same things just keep tweaking the amount of foods until you get there. It is never perfect but just get close.0
