How do you curb cravings?

What do you do to help curb your food cravings when you are not due for a meal? I've tried drinking water and/or tea, chewing gum, etc. All of these methods work, but for a short period of time. I looking for a longer-lasting solution(s). Any advice and/or tips are appreciated.

I don't have cravings and when I'm hungry, I eat. You can have some fruit, something like grapefruit or berries, which add very little calories. Coffee also helps.0

Cravings and feeling hungry are two very different things. When I'm hungry, I eat something. If I have a craving, I eat whatever it is in a reasonable amount. If I happen to go crazy and eat a ton of thin mints, then I go exercise.0

Yup, this is pretty much what I do too.
I now have small stock stashed in my desk at work of healthy snacks in a 100-150 calorie range as well as some pieces of fruit. So when I'm hungry, I eat something. As for cravings, if I have one, I just eat it. If I don't I know I will wind up binging on it later on. Whatever the craving is, I plan ahead to make sure that it will fit in my calorie limit and macros for the day. If a regular serving of whatever it is doesn't fit, I either less than a serving size or if I *really* want it, I work out to make up for it. Sometimes, I'll just be bad and say "oops, tomorrow is another day" and make sure that I do better the next day/week/etc.0 -
Having meals or snacks that satiate means I do not get cravings as my body is satisfied with the food it's had.
Your dairy is closed so I don't know what your eating , but if you're not already doing so, try adding some filling snacks. Look for things with fats, fibre and protein, like nuts, for example.0 -
If I've got the munchies, or a craving... I come on here and read until I remember what I'm working for! Often times just taking my mind off of it makes it go away. Unless I'm actually hungry, of course. Then I drink some water, wait 20 minutes, and if I'm still hungry grab a healthy snack, like string cheese. My hard and fast rule is that I try not to eat junk food until after dinner, so I can't just tell myself I'll cut down on the healthy food to make up for it.0
