Do ALL teas count as water ?

Well I have just restarted my journey for the billionth time, but my rule of thumb has always been water is water. I don't do well with drinking as much water as I should, I guess it would be easy to count anything with any drop of water in it as water but what would be the real benefit in that? There would not be any benefit. I hope to be at a gallon a day soon. I am challenging myself to that but taking baby steps so I don't get tripped up as I so easily do.
With that logic what is the benefit of a gallon a day?0 -
I only log my water as water. Anything else gets added under beverage.0

The only benefit one gets from water is that hydration keeps the body moving properly. HYDRATION is the key. Anything liquid (and even some things that just contain liquid, like fruits and veggies) hydrates.it would be easy to count anything with any drop of water in it as water but what would be the real benefit in that?
That is the benefit.
Count what you want, but your body doesn't know the difference.0 -

So water isn't a beverage?0 -
People: only water and decaffeinated/herbal teas count as water. Caffeine dehydrates you, so caffeinated beverages have no place on your water log. As for the question about chai tea lattes...seriously, no. Latte means milk based. Are you logging your milk as water, too? Come on, just drink some plain old water. It won't kill you.
Actually at many times in history water WOULD kill you, and in many places in the world now, water still will kill you. How do you suppose the human race has survived if turning water into coffee, tea, tisanes (herbal "teas"), or alcohol of some kind (which is what people do when they live somewhere that the water will kill you) meant that the body could no longer use the water in the beverage for hydration?0 -
I love when people who are absolutely, 100% wrong are so condescending about it.People: only water and decaffeinated/herbal teas count as water. You're funny.
