I've nearly reached my goal of 51kg :) but the question is how do u maintain your weight? I know u can set your cals to maintenance level on here, but what about the nutritional goals, mine are currently set at 40/30/30...do u still think that i would need to follow these not to gain weight?

Just a little confused & lots of advice would be appreciated :)

Thankyouuuu :)

essentially do what you can do for life, lifestyle change. If you find you carbs to low, increase them by 5% and stay within your calories and see what works for you. It may take a couple months to find out what works best for you. You may gain or lose a couple pounds in the process.

When I was losing weight, I had my nutritional goals set at 50/25/25 and I kept it that way when I went to maintain. Once you get to your maintenance mode, don't introduce all your deficit calories at once; you should gradually increase your daily calories to your new maintenance daily allotment to prevent unexpected weight gain (body could store excess food). I increased my 150 calories every 5 days until I was at my maintenance goal. From there on out, I've gone by calorie yo-yoing, meaning somedays I'm just not hungry enough to eat all my calories so I don't because some days I'm famished and need more calories than I'm alloted so I eat the calories from the days I didn't eat them all. Short term this can be screwy on the scale, but as long as I continue to log everything it evens out in the end every week for my official weigh-in. Yes, I still weigh in so I can keep my self accountable and not slip back into eating too much because I think I'm good. Hope this helps!

To answer about setting maintenance calories, if you go into your goals and tell it to help/guide you through setting your goals, you enter your height, weight, sex, etc and then in the dropdown box at the bottom of the page select Maintain Current Weight. That will give you a ballpark calorie goal to begin with.

I can't speak from experience, but I imagine that maintenance is rather like weight loss. You have a certain number you're aiming for in terms of calories consumed and exercise goals, and you play around with the numbers until they work for your situation. :)
