I like the idea of rewarding myself for goals reached.
Maybe even better is rewarding myself for taking action every day - so focusing on the "process", not the "outcome" too much, because I can only really change the "process".0 -
I reward myself with a new tattoo every time I lose a stone (14lb) so far I've had 8 new tattoos & I earnt my 9th on Wednesday 22nd January, because that's the day I lost 9stone (126lb).... I've got to book myself in for next inking session a.s.a.p! xXx0

I like this idea ALOT!!! :bigsmile:0 -
On my main profile page I have different goals with the rewards I want for each goal I hit Massages, new clothes, spa day, tattoo, vacation0
-
Well, my reward for myself will be buying a sleeveless yellow sundress. I don't know why, but I really want one for the summer! When I lose my weight, I'll feel confident showing my arms again:)0

Long term goal, I have not decided yet. But I have a weekly incentive going on here at home with spouse. For every pound lost weekly, we put $5 in an envelope. IF, and I have NOT yet, gain ANY at all back it is double per pound back from that envelope. I decided since I can do anything I want with my career and life, then damn it I can do this like a paycheck incentive too. So each Sunday morning I get a little paycheck for my week work. What are we going to use the money for in the end, I have no idea yet, but fun to watch the envelope grow!!! Other visual is I put one rock per pound [pretty rocks] in a jar on the table so I have to look at it daily. So Sundays again, I move one rock per pound to the jar that sits on top that envelope. That is what I am doing right now, so far so good!0

I just lost 10 ponds and bought myself some rings. My long term goal is winning the weight loss challenge and using that money to buy a new wardrobe I like the ideas that I've read and will be rewarding myself every 10 pounds ^_^ a0

When I was almost at my goal I got some nice new clothes. That way if I went up a few pounds I'd still fit in them.0

I'm planning to reward myself every 5 pounds...by the time I lose my goal of 50# I will have 10 rewards! I'm thinking smaller things like nail polish, mani/pedis, cute socks, perfume, bath & body stuff, jewelry, etc. I definitely know what I am doing when I reach my goal--booking a professional photo session for me and my husband.0

"Do not reward yourself with food you are not a dog"
I always kept that in mind but for my mini goals I would allow myself to go shopping at a new place
So *insert mini GW here* - shop at hollister
*insert mini GW here* - shop at Victoria's Secret
Orrr *insert mini GW here* buy a pair of *whatever item you didn't think you could pull off before here*
So new clothes! New items or a new purse or shoes those were my mini goals rewards and it worked amazing0 -
New clothes are a given because if I do lose as much as I hope to, none of my current clothes will fit!
I also have a really crazy reward - I want to finally get braces & fix my teeth.0 -
Buying new clothes is a given. Besides that, I'm considering doing something I'd never do right now... get into a wetsuit and learn to scuba. :happy:0
-
I'm surprised no one has mentioned it, but music! I buy new i-tunes songs for my mini goals. I get new songs, which encourages me to go the gym and listen to them0

I drink heavily to celebrate my losses.0

I'm going to be rewarding myself with new work-out clothes and shoes.0

My big reward will ultimately be a new wardrobe, because I am literally losing half my weight. To go from an XL/XXL to a S/M. Every barrier I pass, especially with my BMI, I plan to celebrate as well, when I get down 170, then 150, then my final goal of 115-120. Not with food, but with ... something, not sure what!!0
-
I buy myself new clothes periodically; I'm slowly wearing clothing that fits well and looks nice on me rather than the old baggy shirts I've been wearing for years.
My present for when I hit my goal weight is saucy photography.0 -
Do you reward yourselves for hitting you goal or mini-goals?
I didn't punish myself for getting fat, so no, I don't reward myself for getting fit.0 -
when I reached my 70 lbs. loss I bought myself a polar ft60. When I got to my 890 lbs. loss I bought myself a new dress from Avon. When I reach my 87 lbs. loss I will get myself fitted for new bras.0

Feeling full of energy and well-being is my reward. I am philosophically against giving myself rewards for doing things. First, I am not twelve and I don't need to be bribed. Second, it's my money. I deserve to treat myself well every day.0
-
I reward myself with one awesome cheat day per month if I've done reasonably well that month. When I say awesome, I mean AWESOME.0
-
My reward is a new outfit from LuLulemon, but I figure I'll give myself pieces of it along the way (sports bra for 10lbs, top for 20, pants at 25).0

My husband just bought me season 1 of one of my favorite animes: Yu Yu Hakusho. I consider it a reward. I'm hoping I'll be rewarded with the next few seasons as I move further on my weight loss journey.
My final reward will be a makeover, too - I guess. I'll dye my hair, get a few more piercings and a tattoo. I have a bunch of old clothes I will fit when I'm back to a size 0-7. Oh, and I might start waist-training with a corset.0 -
When I first started, I would have a cheat meal. After I learned moderation I changed to investing in something tangible, such as purses, wallets, watches, etc. I love my new collection!0

Ever since I was a teenager I've wanted Doc Marten Boots. They are expensive though so I never buy them (I'm frugal like that). However, once I reach my 100lb weight loss mark....which is now only 35lbs away...I WILL HAVE THOSE DAMN BOOTS! lol :devil:0

My mom agreed to send me a dollar for every pound I lost. I'm still working on making more conscious food decisions, but at least the incentive is reminding me to weigh myself. I've made $1.40 this past week, and as a college kid, I can't complain.0
-
I don't reward myself. This is a lifestyle change that will keep going even when I've lost the weight I want to lose. The reward is sticking with it and getting fit.
But maybe I should do something when I've reached my weight goal.0 -
Definately a shopping spree haha.0
