If you're currently eating 2500, cutting to 2000 isn't necessarily that hard. But if you're eating 1200 right now, cutting to 700 can be quite difficult and dangerous.0 -

I'm kind of in between - eating about 1900, so cutting 500 to lose a pound a week is a little tough....0

With only 8 lb. to lose, set your MFP goal to .5 lb. per week, and stay within your daily calorie goal. Log your exercise, and eat back your exercise calories. If you're not losing after two weeks, eat back half your exercise calories.
