Barbell Only Strength Excersises

I have been losing weight through changing my diet and doing cardio and bodyweight strength training for a few months now. We have a barbell and plates at home and I want to start doing some lifting to build muscle and strength. Can you guys get me started with some barbell only excersise and any advice? I appriciate your help and I'm really looking forward to getting stronger at home.

If you look into Stronglifts 5x5 it is based on using the barbell.0
