Calories in a pizza crunch?

I know, I shouldn't have had one, but my dad brought in a chippy for dinner and I just couldn't resist. I've had a search and couldn't find an estimate of calories for a pizza crunch, anyone know/care to take a guess??

(For those not from Scotland, a pizza crunch is deep fried pizza. It's delicious. And I only had a quarter, promise :P)

  • That sounds delicious! I would guess at least 400. 700 at the absolute maximum

You have to eat the haggis before they let you have the pizza crunch.

What?! What if I don't move there and just stay for a visit? This pizza crunch sounds fabulous! Note to self: get a lot of exercise in when planning/during this trip

    Haggis is good anyway!

But nothing beats pizza crunch. I used to have one every day for lunch when I was at school

    Thanks for your replies!

    http://www.scotland.com/forums/cuisine/29023-anybody-tried-these.html

This Scottish forum cites 1,495 calories for a pizza crunch with chips, but doesn't source it to confirm. From what I found, it varies widely based on toppings and batter makeup. When it comes to food prepared by a restaurant, it's always a guessing game.

I wonder if I could replicate this amazing Scottish cuisine at home?

Knowing me and my serious lack of cooking skills, I'd probably burn down my house.

    Sounds AMAZING though :drinker:

It's SO good! You literally drop a slice of pizza in a deep fat fryer. There's not much else to it haha!
