Make it happen if you shoot for the moon atleast you will land amongst the stars!!! Wear your HRM all day if you can you are burning cals in everything you do while at work and during workouts park further away at work take steps instead of elevator go the long way to the restroom in your office anything that will make things challenging it can be done!!0 -
i'm in....so monday to sunday - 4500 calories burned...i'm only going to count official exercise when i wear my heart rate monitor since i already do the other stuff like park further away and take the stairs as part of my new healthy lifestyle....
here's my plan for the week
Mon - walking @ lunch and then running after work - 5 miles is my goal - 500+ calories
Tue - treadmill watching biggest loser - 6-7 miles - 500-600 calories
Wed - walking @ lunch and then running after work - total 5 miles - 500+ calories
Thu - run with a friend in the am maybe group power class @ gym - walk after dinner with the kids - 3-4 miles - 500+ calories Fri - run outside or on treadmill, group power @ gym? - 3-6 miles - 600 calories
Sat - group power class @ gym - maybe a run (3 miles) - 600+ calories
Sun - run/walk outside or on treadmill 4-6 miles - 600 calories
when i add this all up i get just under 4000 so i guess i'm going to have to push myself harder/longer in each of the above workouts in order to make 4500....i can do this...0 -
Oh, this is a challenge! I got this! Count me in!
I currently use the Bodybugg system and I am set to burn 2800 calories per day. My BMR is currently 1656 - anything over this number is pure fat burning.
I will add 645 calories to my daily burning placing me at a crazy number of 3445! Wow. That's a lot but I think I can do it. Because I usually end the day out with about 3200, this should be a breeze.

This sounds like a great challenge! I am in now that I am not as sick. Just the cough that seems to linger with this cold that has been passed around! I gotta get a plan together! will count exercise since I do not have a HRM to measure the rest.0

i am really feeling run down today so i am considering taking a break today (left my sneakers at home-i have my son at work today so i wouldnt have been able to take a mid day walk anyway)....i might force myself to walk later when i get home or head to the gym with the kids after work to do the elliptical but i'm really not sure....i'm thinking i can still get in all the calories i need if i really push myself thurs, fri, sat and sun...i want to make this challenge and reach 4500 by monday....i just dont want to make myself worse with this stupid cold/cough i have had for over a month...think i might be pushing my body to hard but i dont know how to slow down now that i have started this major push to work out so much (just this month - i have been been working soooooo hard)0

This sounds awesome! I've already scoped out the LA Fitnesses around me so I can hit the gym tomorrow before the feast and definitely after Black Friday shopping. So, I'll try it, even though I didn't work out on Monday.

Did 3 miles running in treadmill at the gym - 4-5.5mph varying inclines from 0-10 randomly changing on a program. When It came down low I ran faster, when it went up over 5 I slowed down to 4ish or more. After the 3 miles there I headed upstairs tonthe stepper machine. I just wanted to do 46 floors which is what I have done before but I ended up playing the numbers game to get more calories, more miles, more floors. LOL. Ended up doing 1.6 miles, 278 calories, and 76 floors on stepper.
For a grand total of 618 calories & 4.6 miles for today. Not too shabby.
