Good job peeps!! Today my proud moment was when I got real frustrated with myself for something and due to that frustration I wanted to eat! but instead I had a kickass workout =) felt great!

I sat in one of those little flimsy folding chairs that people set for social events. I was sitting there and I realized that I had NO FEAR that it would collapse under me!

My proud moment today was attaching my brand new FITBIT onto my wrist and setting it up! So excited about this. I am just starting out (Started tracking in MFP January 1st).

Wishing all of you success with your healthy choices!
  • My proud moment today was finally fixing my lawn mower MYSELF. It broke about a month ago, so I watched a bunch of YouTube videos and ordered the parts. Today I got it running and then burned 200 calories mowing the yard. I've never been so excited to mow my lawn!

Resisting the yummy rice krispie squares that a coworker made. It would throw me over my calories for the day and with me it's a downward spiral once I start indulging my sweet tooth.
  • I did an hour on the treadmill, and instead of eating right after, I waited. I was then able to have a cupcake tonight and it was less calories than what I burned. Sure I splurged a little, but I feel like I deserved it. Already lost 3 pounds and it's only been 4 days, I'll be at my ideal weight in no time.

I actually finally managed to fit in ALL my recommended servings of fruit and veg today. I never accomplish this! I usually just get 2-4 total servings. Now I just need to do it consistently. :drinker:

Today I climbed the Hakarimata Summit and was 15mins faster on the ascent than when I did it 4 weeks ago. I haven't stopped smiling yet :)

Great thread idea, OP :) And congrats to all who have posted and found something to be proud of. Carry on with your bad selves

After my workout, after my stretches, i decided to see how close i could get to touching my toes. When i started this life change a few months ago i couldn't touch my toes (either sitting on the floor with my legs stretched apart, nor standing with my feet together). my fingers would only go as far as half way down my shins. Last month i successfully touched my toes (and am now able to comfortable hold them) when sitting down. Last night i decided to try reaching them whilst standing, and to my surprise and imense joy i was able to touch not only my toes, but the ground too!! I literally jumped for joy!

I actually have 2...the second one is because of the first one:

I stepped on the scale today and am down 12lbs...the most I have gotten off in a very long time.

and the second is my daughter has a brownie from panera that i have passed like 10xs already in the kitchen...and i have not eaten it! Sweets are my downfall! I am so proud that I walked by it mulitple times and I did not devour it! haha

I agree, my coworkers got on my nerves today!

Going to Tim Hortons instead of McDonalds and getting a turkey sausage/egg white sandwich. Sorry, McGriddle, as good as you sounded I decided to be good!

I did a hilly five miles today and ran most of it. I even finished in under an hour! That's been my longest and fastest yet and would have been even faster but I had to stop three times to pick up sticks to swing at dogs.
