Insanity is tough for sure but you can get through it!
Set your mfp macro goals to 35% protein 35% fat and 30% carbs. Your body uses carbs in the bloodstream first for energy then switches over to fat stores. By lowering your carbs slightly, your boosting fat loss. Also, excess carbs are stored as fat so you're ensuring you'll burn off the carbs you consume and won't be working against yourself by adding body fat due to excess carbs.
Focus on eating clean foods and meeting your calorie and protein goals (if you go over protein that's awesome!) and the carbs/fats will balance out. Ultimately, more protein and less carbs is better for weight loss but it can be difficult to maintain a super low carb diet. The 35/35/30 ratio is realistic and sustainable for more most people.
If you need help finding the macro ratios in your diary settings, lmk! I'm happy to help and be a source of motivation and support! You got this!0 -

If you go by the info that comes with Insanity the split is 40p/40c/20f.
Carbs are your friend and you won't be fighting against yourself if you eat complex carbs.0 -
^^^^Complex, healthy carbs are your friend, I agree. So are healthy fat like Omega 3s. Carbs from processed sugar and fats from fried foods are not though. Any carbs that aren't burned for energy are stored as body fat. Any fats that aren't burned for energy are also stored as fat. If you consume more carbs or fats then you burn, you're working against yourself. Either ratio is realistic and 35%protein, 35% fat, 30% carbs is not low carb. It does help your body target fat if weight loss is your primary goal.0
