Major Water Retention

I have daughters that are competitive swimmers. On a meet weekend it is not out of the question that I spend 8-12 hours at the pool each day over 3 - 4 days depending on the meet format. This past weekend I made sure to really watch my water intake (drank lots) and I am so bloated that I was up 10lbs over my weigh in last week. Not to mention that it is dang uncomfortable. I'm not worried about the scale and my overall weight loss because I know that if I stick to my Calorie intake that will all even out. Does anyone have any suggestions to help prevent the swelling/retention? It would be great to not blow up like a balloon over a weekend.

You probably don't need to drink so much water if it's making you that uncomfortable.

I've wondered about that but I feel like the enviroment dehydrates me. I am usually very thirsty and get headaches when I don't drink water.
