If it fits your macros, and you don't have a gluten allergy...eat bread if you want to. Nothing wrong with it.0

There is a LOT of sodium in store bought bread. Keep an eye on that if you need too. Otherwise whole wheat bread isn't so bad.0

Western civilization was built on bread and the obesity epidemic is a very recent phenomenon. Of course, people used to burn 6,000 calories a day just trying to stay alive.
This is the best answer yet.Unless you have a wheat or gluten allergy, there is nothing wrong with eating bread. If eating bread fits into your daily calorie goals then I wouldn't give it a second thought. The current gluten and wheat hysteria is ridiculous.
