What is the best thing to drink when out with friends? We go to football parties every Sunday and I don't want to be there drinking water. Please give some help.

Liquors have the least amount of calories, so if you pair say vodka with diet sprite or soda, that is going to be pretty low cal. A rum and diet coke wouldn't be too bad either....
Lighter coloured beers are less calories than dark beer, and drinking "light beer" is obviously going to be less as well.
Liqueurs and pre-mixed cocktails or coolers (margarita mixes, Smirnoff Ice, Vex etc) are the worst because most of them are REALLY high in sugar.
Hope that helps!0 -
If you like mixed drinks you can go for vodka and diet squirt. Or rum and diet cola. Drink water in between each of your alcoholic drinks and just add your drink calories in for the day, too. (about 80-100 calories each)
Avoid sweet mixed drinks such as Margaritas and daiquiris or anything with a high sugar or cream base. No White Russians, basically. Or fruity blended drinks..those will be high cal as well.0 -
vodka w/ diet or sugar free mixers.0

Some research has shown a glass of wine with dinner can actually be healthy. It's probably not so much what you drink but rather how much. You could probably work off a lite beer or two later, but if you are downing six or more every week, forget it.0

Smirnoff Ice comes in "Light" now - it's one of my favourites! Only 100 calories and low carb!0

Flavored vodka and soda is good, then you aren't getting the aspartame from the diet drinks.0

Between your 'real' drinks have something like seltzer with lime and angostura bitters. As delicious as a 'real' drink, it's a pretty good mocktail to pace yourself. :drinker:0

Alcohol itself is pretty high on calories.. 7 Kcal per gram! Its second only to fat, which has 9! Carbs and proteins have 4 Kcal per gram.0
