Hi Everyone,
So I was reading the recommendation for sugar intake....does this include fruit and veggies? I am finding that most of my daily sugar intake comes from fruits and veggies....one small apple has 10g (which is almost half my daily intake).
Any help would be great! Thanks!

This is something that I've noticed comes up often- most people will tell you that unless you're specifically watching sugar (like if you have diabetes) then not to worry about the sugar, especially from fruits and veggies. I do keep a loose eye on mine just to keep it from getting really crazy because sugar is a big trigger for me.0

Grams of sugar per day; no idea. Is it important to you?0

Sugar is a carbohydrate. So, as long as you meet or are below your carbohydrate goal, you should be fine.0

I was wondering the same thing since one piece of fruit is listed as most of my sugar intake for the day!0

It doesn't matter. What matters more are the overall calories you consume.0

I just worry about added sugar, like the corn syrup, or anything in candy, cookies, or sodas. That is supposed to be less than 25g or 6 tbls a day for women, according to the AHA.
