Most of the time, it's cultural.

Um, can also sometimes have to do with gang affiliation... not even remotely about trying to feel pretty.

They draw their eyebrows on according to gang affiliation? Which gang has which shape? Lol!

It changes so frequently you would pretty much have to be a member to keep up. Just one of those fun and interesting facts you learn while teaching in LAUSD. Something you learn to keep an "eye" out for so to speak.

It is, however, adorable when you draw them on a dog.

OMG, I just fell in love. HARD.

 The look on his face...priceless!!

I love drawing on my male Boston...my husband doesn't like it though.

Drawing on the dog, that is. He doesn't really like it when I draw on him either though.

It must be an LA thing. I've never encountered this when I lived in DC or Atlanta.

But see yours follow your brow line and match your hair color, so they look fine like that! It's the ones that are over-arched or otherwise unrealistic that make me smh.

That's because most guys don't really notice makeup until it's very heavily or oddly applied. A lot of women use makeup to either enhance or completely create a brow and no-ones the wiser.

I draw on mine because their blonde, sparse and do nothing for me.

    In for the pics....

But seriously, I use a tinted gel on mine but that's because I have a scar on my left brow that makes the brow there grow wonky, and I had a stylist wax off half the one on the right....:grumble: I try to make them look as natural as possible though.

On rare occasions, it can actually look really nice :D

    (I don't know why but I can't get it to paste) :P

Well, hers are more enhanced than purely drawn on. There's a big difference between completely shaving your eyebrows off and drawing them on in a way that looks completely unnatural and just enhancing light/sparse brows with a brow pencil, gel, or powder.

I did that in high school because my eyebrows were terrible normally. I now have to fill them in because they don't grow normally anymore. However, making a post like this to shame someone for doing something you don't like is childish. I think Amanda Palmer pulls off the drawn on eyebrow look uber well though.

Shave their eyebrows off then draw them horribly back on, looking like Wii drawn characters?

Maybe they don't want any..and I mean any...facial hair at all.

I've drawn mine on for years and I constantly see people making mistakes lol. Unfortunately for a lot of people eyebrows don't grow back correctly or at all and they don't understand they have a brow line to guide them lol. I had higher arches when I was younger and sometimes still do, it just depends on my mood =).

*edit* I am guilty of not matching hair colors in the past though. Black brows with bleach blonde hair lol. I have pictures, but I don't think they'd go over well in this thread lmao.
