Valentine's day: what's your plan?

I made up my mind last week that Valentine's day will be a cheat day for me. Pizza from our neighbourhood pizzeria, full cheese, full dough, although it will be a small one and I'll have one or 2 slices. With some fries. Anyone else has such a plan for tomorrow? How are you dealing with it?

Normal day for me. Might treat myself to a piece of cake or some chocolate, but being single, that would be about it. It is just a day that has been turned into a mass marketing scheme. Big business loves people who will use any excuse to spend, spend, spend and stuff, stuff, stuff.

We have friends who used to own a crepe cafe. They are having a crepe night so we're all going over there for a little crepe party. I will be working out before I go but I'm assuming the day may be a high calorie day. They're going out of their way to make me grain free crepes though so no way am I abstaining. Plus I haven't had a crepe in forever so I want one! :)

Going out to dinner with the family, so I will have a "cheat meal". Nothing fancy. Me and the wife don't really go big on V-Day. We both subscribe to the notion that we show each other that we love them with the little things we do every day. We don't need some corporate made up holiday to show our affection.

I did still spring for a card and a box of her favorite chocolates though.. I'm not THAT dumb.

Tomorrow is today for me. Happy Valentines Day everyone!

I think my family and I are going out to dinner. Probably Asian food of some description... :)
I will /try/ and skip the spring rolls and stick with ...

    a. Vietnamese- Grilled Pork on Rice Noodle or Pho and maybe a rice paper roll or two
    b. Chinese - Soup Noodles with veg and chicken and a few steamed dumplings
    c. Japanese - Miso soup and sushi and octopus salad
    d. Thai - Thai Beef Salad

If that all goes to pot I guess I will make a roast :/ I really hope I am not making dinner LOL

My partner was so thoughtful and bought me individually wrapped Ghirardelli squares. So they're pre-portioned and my favorite! (Dark chocolate with sea salt caramel). And were going to sweet tomatoes tomorrow for dinner so that I can go out and stay on track. :) I can't wait!

I work at a pizzeria, and were making these adorable heart shaped personal pan pizzas... I have avoided real pizza for the last couple of months (excluding english muffin home-made pizzas and lean cuisine pizzas) which has been nearly impossible working where I do.... BUT yeah Valentines day will just be another ordinary day for me! I will make a bunch of amazing little heart pizzas loaded with greasy pepperoni and stacks of mozzarella.. and I'll enjoy another day of making healthy eating choices, I know it'll be worth it!

The wife and I are spending the night at the casino, seeing a concert and a late night dinner at the steak house. We are both eating very low carb, so steak, lobster and veggies! No desert, but we will have a couple Vodka club soda's. Also got her some nice smelling items she likes. I also stopped and bought her a gift that is also a gift for me. :drinker: :drinker:

    Avoid restaurants at all costs.

But that isn't a diet tip, just a sanity tip. There be crazy out there this weekend.

I just made hubby's favorite cookies, but that is because he requested them last weekend, before we had finished off the brownies.
  • a bit of chocolate and a bit more wine, otherwise normal

It's a cheat dinner and dessert. I will do my normal double egg white on a toasted bagel thin with nacho cheese for breakfast, salad with tuna for lunch, and hoping for eggplant parm and slice of cake for dinner. I might even have a glass of Shiraz. Lots of boring water and tea all day.

Considering I am in Maryland with the lovely snow my plans has been cancelled. I will be home with my 4yr twins and side piece I mean hubby will be working ha ha... but I will probably have to count in all the wine into my calorie count.

Planning on having a nice dinner of Shepherd's pie with my family, a nice bottle of wine, and a good dessert for dinner, other than that a normal food day (perhaps a little lighter for lunch).

If I go over a bit, I do, but am not planning to.

We are staying home and avoiding the restaurants. Making some butternut squash stuffed shells and already have everything logged. My three year old and I made some valentine brownie pops today so there is some portion control and honestly they were not that great so not much of a temptation there. I also saved some calories up but it looks like I may not even need them.
  • My girlfriend and I are going away for the weekend and we are eating right, exercising, shopping, and enjoying the hot tub! :-)
  • Taking my daughter on the town!

    That is awesome! Have fun!

Chinese food, beer, and a marathon of either Archer or Planet Earth with my husband. We don't have kids or pets, so there's nothing to really get away from. So we try to keep it cheap, but still a treat!
