At first I envisioned a cream colored pup (cuz that's what mine was) so I thought you should name her Daisy! Then I found out she's a black lab. Not sure if Daisy fits with a black lab. Maybe Violet, Iris or Jasmine? (I like flower names for girl dogs...)

I like Pepper. I also prefer two syllable dog names. You shouldn't use their names as a command so it doesn't need to sound tough, imo.

    Kris!

It works for anyone and anything!

Edit: Darn, just noticed you already named her. Kris would have been great though.

I named my Chihuahua after a gun (Gatling)
And my Australian Cattle Dog came with the name Sydney

Perhaps something relating to hobby you really enjoy. Or the location she came from?

    Onyx since it matches

^^^This is what I came up with when I looked at her sweet photo before looking at any of the suggestions. Labs are lovely....very social and quite head-strong in my limited experience! May you have many long years of fun and companionship with her!
