macros on it?
edit * my bad - i just saw the macros and cals.
Carry on!
Yeah, macros don't seem to add up but I don't have time right this sec to figure out which ingredient was entered wrong in the database. Will try to do it later.0 -
^ no biggie, I was just curious as to a ballpark. I've been wanting to devour an entire deep dish lately so I've been looking for decent recipes that balance good macros. I could fit this whole puppy in and then some, so i might give it a whirl.0

Oh yum!!!0

I went to Chicago and ate one of their original deep dish pizza with all meaty stuff like sausage and pepperoni tons of cheese and crust.. I would never eat one again. It was so grossly heavy on the stomach I felt like I needed a colan cleanse that night. I guess from my area ( Metro Detroit ) we favor the thin crust type. NY style I like better. Actually I think COSTCO pizza is great, greasy but great. Guess I am not a deep dish type.0

^Agree. Not a "huge" deal seeing as many of us will end up using our preferred sauces, cheeses, and including/excluding things. It's a decent ballpark figure0 -

this looks great but......is there no...cauli... eh nevermind.
it does indeed look authentic.
source: also from chicago area.
Was coming in here to ask how much cauliflower it takes to make the crust...

Bump for the deliciousness!0

Born and raised in Metro Detroit and pizza has always been rectangular and thick. Positioning of toppings and sauce is debatable. Thin crust pizza comes from Pizza Hut, not Detroit.
OP, your pizza looks EPIC and I'm putting the recipe in my box for future use. I've never had a Chicago style pizza but I've always wanted to try one.0 -

x2. Detroit has it's own "style," which is thick and square, generally with a crispier crust than other pizzas. Thin crust pizza is more California style, or traditional Neapolitan style (depending on how it's prepared/what's on it).
If you're still in metro-Detroit looking for a good Chicago style, Lona's in Dearborn Heights is the closest I've been able to find to more authentic Chicago style (better than Pizza House, Pizza Papalis or Old Chicago).0 -
bump (and btw, you are the food devil...ha ha ha)0
