    Persia was my nick name in high school and college and it stuck. I like the Lady part. Sounds good when I play video games:)

    Mine is the nickname of a friend from 1974. Dan. His biker handle was Road Dog. He was a stranger that came to my aid when I needed it. We had a brief friendship. I wish I knew what happened to him.

    Anyway, Road Dog is homage to Dan.

    My last name is Gerke (rhymes with "turkey). My best friend and I both speak German and always make up nicknames for each other. Gerkenbergen was another I was thinking about, but I just like Gerkenstein (I pronounce it both "stine" and "steen" just depends on my mood) :laugh:

    Millions of years ago when we first got net access & I was doing a computing qualification we were told never use our real ID's on line. Our first attempt to dial-up I had to think of of an alta-ego PDQ so I used the name of the girl that had just cut my hair, cos I liked her & her name :)

    Mine is one of the names of the goddess Venus/Aphrodite, because as the myth goes, she was born off the shore of Cythera. I'm a Classics scholar and I've always liked the name Cytherea, even though Athena/Minerva is actually my favorite goddess. I've used it as a screenname in a few places over the years.

    Mine is after one of my favorite Arthurian legends. The lily maid of Astolat, Elaine the Fair, the Lady of Shalott...all names for the same woman. It is also based upon my favorite poem by Tennyson and favorite series of paintings by John William Waterhouse.
