Water counter

I hadn't thought of this before... I always drink water out of a 16 oz glass but I've been counting it as 1 glass. Should it be counted as 2?

yes.. thats 2 8oz and thats how mfp adds it. they reccommend 8 8oz glasses. so 16 counts as 2 glasses.

Awesome, I've been drinking a lot more than they recommend then. I'm gonna assume that's a good thing :)

water is so good for you and its calorie free. i drink from a 24 oz.. 3 of them and i have over my 64..

    its filling
    it helps curb cravings
    it keeps you hydrated
it flushes salt from too much sodium meals

    so drink up

8 oz. of water is great. But you can deplete you sodium level, with excessive water. FYI:smile:

Keep in mind that the rule of 64 oz a day is outdated. The general rule of how much water you should consume is your weight ÷ 2.
example... you weigh 150 lbs, you should have 75 oz a day.

    best of luck to you!

me personally only count plain water in my water count, but thats me..

the app is called drinking water. you set reminders.. it will tell you when to drink by the reminders you set.. it will clap and cheer for you when you had your water set for the day.. i know dorky, but it works..

yes its now half your body weight.. im slowly working my way up.. drink before a meal it helps you feel full and you eat less.

Hydrate Yourself is one app. I have not used it personally but it came up in a Google search.

Not really. Depends on how you want to log it. If you are keeping track of how many 16 oz cups you drink you would click 1 every time you drink one.

The little container, contrary to popular belief, is NOT cups. It is whatever YOU want it to be. Cups, ounces, gallons, etc. The little note next to the cup recommending 8 cups per day makes people THINK it can only log cups.

So in the UK use it to track however you wish. Problem solved. ????

I drink from a 20 oz bottle. I count each as 2, and drink 5-6 a day. Better to over estimate then underestimate.

I hope this isn't true, I can't imagine drinking over 150 oz. of water a day.... And I LOVE water.

I may be mistaken, but I think squash is what they called powdered drink mix in the UK.

Any reason you are worried about how to track your water?

I have read this and been told this by my nutritionist, it is your weight divided by 2. I am not there yet either but I am close some days. May try that water log app.
