Angel food pineapple cake

Ingredients
1 package angel food cake mix – the one with a single bag of mix, NOT the one with two bags that you mix together. The one with two bags WILL NOT WORK.
1 can crushed pineapple — 20 Ounce Can

Instructions
Spray a 9x13 pan
Combine angel food cake mix and (undrained) crushed pineapple in large bowl.
Mix (you can use a mixer, but it’s pretty easy to mix by hand.)
Bake according to instructions on the back of box

When cool, cut in squares and add cool whip.... So good.....very low in calories..

I've made this........it's really good. Great with raspberry sauce too.

I've seen different instructions......spray pan........don't spray pan. Here's what worked for me - a TUBE pan - no spray. I cooled the cake upside down and then removed it from the pan by running a sharp knife around the edges. This is typical for angel food cakes anyway.

I tried the tube pan and had problem with it sticking... Don't know why, but then I started using the 9x13. My husband likes this with a dab of frozen yogurt on it instead of cool whip.. Very yummy

Sounds good! Can you give the name of the cake mix that you use (or, that you don't use)? I haven't bought a cake mix in so long, I have no clue which brands might have one bag or two. Thanks!

    Calories

    Cake mix 1680
    Pineapple 160

    Total 1840

I use a 9x13 and cut into 16 pieces so it is 115 calories per piece plus
Cool whip or what ever you want on top
