I should probably start taking a multi vitamin. I've tried One A Days and they make me HORRIBLY sick to my stomach. Anyone have a good women's multi vitamin to suggest???

I've found that the Nature Made brand are easier on my stomach. Try those.0

Whichever you choose, take them at night before you go to bed. I always get sick if I take vitamins in the a.m.0

I don't take a multivitamin, but I have friends who say to take the children's vitamins or to eat the gummy versions. They are gentler for tiny sensitive tummies.0

The One a Days make me sick in the morning. I switched to taking them in the evening before bed and haven't had any problems at all.0

Girly, check out http://www.melaleuca.com/
They have hands down, the BEST multivitamin you will EVER take. They have the best absorption rate, and they don't make you sick. All of the others are kind of, well... junk. Some vitamins even have stuff in it that you can't even absorb and you are just wasting your money.
They also have a bunch of other natural household products. I use their protein and nutrition shakes, fiber supplement, and vitamins. Let me know if you are interested!

I take a One a day 'Women’s Active Metabolism' If i don't take it with food I'll feel sick to my stomach. What i usually do is I eat a portion of my breakfast take my pill then finish off my breakfast. Don't forget, plenty of water!!!
(This is one you probably shouldn't take at night 'cause it has Guarana Seed & Caffeine so it might keep you up.)0 -
I was told to cut them in half and take 1/2 in the morning and half in the evening...I also take mine with a meal and feel much better that way!0

Those were the ones I tried. I didn't realize they had caffeine. I have a hard time with caffeine..that may have been the reason for my particular upset stomach. Thank you for the info!!0 -

I'm pretty sure they sell those anywhere (ie the grocery store)? Thanks! I'll try them :-)0 -
It's usually the iron in vitamins that upset stomachs which is why most kids vitamins work for sensitive stomachs, they don't contain iron. I take my Centrum at night after dinner because most days I get all my vitamins (except iron) so I can skip it and take an Iron supplement. I just check the "nutrient summary" on MFP to decide. On weekends and during my TOM I always take my vitamin. If you're eating a balanced diet you may not need a multivitamin.0

I use Activit Metabolism formula multivitamins. One a Days made me sick from the extra iron but these don't bother my tummy at all!

I didn't realize that multivitamins made people sick after making them. I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST ME! Whew!
I'm taking Centrium the regular kind i guess?0 -
I take Solar Ray High Energy Multi-Vitamin/MIneral and being a capsule it breaksdown and absorbs quicket than a tablet. Most tablets will make your stomach upset because of having to have more acid in your stomach to break it down. My friend is a nutritionalist and tell people that are taking vitamins not to take tablets and take capsule. Most tablets in up in your stool un digested. There is a article that backs this, try googleing it! Mine never makes me sick but I have to take it in the morning, since if I take it at night I would be up all night!0

You should look at Melaluca vitamins more closely. I work in a physcians office and noticed altered thyroid hormones on those taking Melaluca vitamins.
Your right about the stuff in vitmains no one regulates what is in them.
Eat a balanced diet and skip the vitamins if you can.0
