Already side lined.....

Day 2 of what I was hoping to be a week of clean eating and exercise and already I can't get to the gym b/c of work issues. I was hoping to do 45 minutes on the elliptical. (I did a 3 mile run on the treadmill yesterday plus some lunges/squats, etc. last night). I like to get to the gym before the lunch time rush b/c it gets super crowded and I just don't have the time to wait for a machine to free up. I guess getting in a 45 minute walk is better than nothing, but why is it just so hard!! I'll definately surpass my fitbit goal of 12,000 steps today (probably get close to 20,000), but I really wanted to get to the gym.

Is that the only time you can go to the gym?

Yes on the days I work. By the time I get home with the kids and feed, bath and spend time with the family, it is 9:00 pm. I've been up since 5:15 and no way I have energy to go to the gym. I did a 3 mile walk and have done the equilavent of 6 miles today so not being totally lazy, but feel like I would have gotten more done at the gym. Oh well. At least I did something, right??

Lots of people have busy lives and can't fit in their gym time as planned - the trick is not to get down on yourself about it. You're doing the best you can and weight lose 80% diet 20% exercise so just continue to be mindful of what you put in your body and you'll reach your goal.

I agree with the poster above me!

Do you work in a big office? One that has stairs? I work in an office and I know for sure most people use the elevators. The few times I use the stairs to go up and down to get a little more exercise in I never run into anyone.

So that is not a bad option. Take a break, walk some stairs!

Good luck! Stick to your diet, you will lose!
