    Clowns...evil, sadistic, spawn of hell.
Bugs that jump like crickets and grasshoppers.
Slimy animals like frogs...*kitten* jump too.

I used to be terrified of bridges to the point I could only drive across one with one hand on my seat belt if I were the driver or seat belt and door handle if the passenger. It's gotten easier though in the last few years. A really long bridge still makes the bile rise though.

Edit: Sharks and being touched in water I can't see through. Doesn't matter if it's grass or a fish.

Death by fire or tornadoes. A two-fer would give me a straight stroke.

Tornadoes. We made it through the big one that tore through here in 2011 (Joplin, MO), and every time there's a tornado watch my anxiety level goes through the roof. Especially if my husband and I are at work and our kids are with a sitter. It was absolutely the scariest thing I've ever been through, trumping my tour in Iraq. I would rather go back to the middle east than ride out another tornado like that one.

I fear never being able to find a woman who wants me for me instead of for my vast wealth, my body, and freakishly large endowment.....Ho hum

I am sure someone will come along and take that bullet....

Disappointing people I care about, especially myself.

Dying before my son can take care of himself.

    Failure
    Success
    Imperfection

This is one for me too. I think I fear success just as much as failure.

fear itself... Fear is paralyzing and is the only thing with enough power to bring itself to pass... As Job said, that which I feared has come upon me... Fear (I refer not to a healthy caution that prevents us from driving 95 in a 25 down a dark crowded street but rather to a unhealthy preoccupation with some seemingly inevitable end). As I said, Fear has the power to bring itself to pass yet lacks any power to do anything else, other that yield depression, anxiety and death. What are the things we fear? Being alone? yet it is fear that prevents us from befriending others so that we are not alone. Death? How can fear keep that inevitability from happening? Losing a loved one? Yup, it's going to happen at one time or another... we don't live forever yet what is fear going to do to change that? Again I refer not to the healthy caution that comes from using wisdom but rather the irrational fear that only serves to paralyze and debilitate. As Pres. FDR said, There is nothing to Fear but Fear itself... As a result rather than in cowering in fear, a young nation flexed its war machine and forced its way among the greatest powers on the face of the earth.

I fear death; not so much my own, but that of my close family. I also fear being as unhappy as I am right now for the rest of my life. Both things keep me up at night.
  • My biggest fear is losing my children or husband.
