So today I proudly announced to my colleagues that I am now under 17st 13.6lbs (251.6 lbs)!
The response from the youngest one?
"That's great - now you can go on the dodgems on Weston Pier - the weight limit's 18st!"
Yes - I CAN NOW RIDE THE DODGEMS!

The best NSV I think I have *ever* seen!
(although, strictly, it is a Scale Victory, of course!)0 -
YESSSS for the dodgems0
-
Although I was never one for the dodgems (I'm more of a waltzer kind of girl)... great NSV!!!
I'll be taking my daughter to the theme park at Southend this summer without worrying about those dam safety bars0 -
Not only can you ride the dodgems - you MUST ride the dodgems!!
Well done.0 -
I think the only problem with these 'ere dodgems will be that I am 17st 13.6lbs WITHOUT SHOES.
I am not going shoeless on Weston Pier. I think I'll have to lose a few more pounds first ;-)
Thanks everyone for your comments :-)0 -
Well done, better to go without the shoes than other items of clothing!!!
This comment from your associate brings to mind the day I realised I was not too heavy for the loft ladder, shush. The dodgems are more fun. I'm too practical.0 -
Congrats and yayyyyy for neck breaking, knee bruising dodgems :laugh:0

It really is great to have the support of everyone on here - even though I joined MFP well over a year ago, I've only really started to actively "lose weight" this year, and it was three weeks before I plumped up enough courage to actually start using the message boards!
If there's anyone out there who would like to add me (especially British women starting from over 250 lbs, anyone with lipoedema/lipedema and anyone who is trying to reduce their meat intake) then please send me a request!
Thanks again

Electric bumper cars, and each one has two teenie-weenie seats (well, teenie-weenie to me!) and a titchy steering wheel.0 -

Nice one!
Last time I took the kids to Thorpe Park, I couldn't close the shoulder harness on one of the roller coasters, and therefore couldn't enjoy that one ride. I had to do a walk of shame off the ride.
Not going to be a problem this summer!0 -
Congratulations! You should *totally* go on the dodgems, just because you can! :-)0
