Hey there everyone. I have this little problem that comes around every couple of months.

I don't eat. Now, let me explain before I get rants coming to be left and right.
I'm just not hungry. I don't want to eat. I can go for days. I know its bad, but I force my self to eat so I can have something in my system. At the same time when I'm forcing my self to eat it makes me sick. When my stomach is actually growling, my mind or taste-buds don't ask me to eat either. Is it part of my change in the journey? Is it physical? or Psychological? Should I work with it or against it? Give me your thoughts if you know anything about it or if its happened/happens to you.

I'd get a physical. Although stress can make you not hungry, the sick part concerns me. When I'm stressed, I can not be hungry for days, but when I make myself eat, it doesn't make me sick. You could have a thyroid issue, hormone issue, or any number of things that a basic blood work up could detect.
  • Could be a symptom of something else. Depression causes some people to have no appetite. Sinus problems can cause food to have little taste/smell. Not saying that's your particular case, but it would be something to consider.
  • hmmmmm it couldn't hurt to get a physical just to make your doc aware you are going through that, I can't imagine it's normal not to be hungry. You know eating is key to weight control and a healthy you so even if you have to schedule everytime you eat do it. I don't think going days without eating is ok at all. It is good you are asking and sharing what's going on. I hope someone has some great insight into what that may be. Best of everything good to you.
