Clean eating

Hi everyone! Just started a clean eating diet (foods without artificial ingredients) but i always like to have a couple drinks on Saturdays just because its part of socializing and having fun for me. I know alcohol is not clean but I was just wondering what are the cleanest options? Does anybody who eats clean ever kick back and have a couple drinks? What do you drink?

I dont eat any processed foods, but sometimes I just gotta have my wine.

No one is perfect, so long as you hit your clean goals I see no problem in rewarding yourself!

Clean eating isn't a religion and no one is grading you. I'm a fan of eating pretty damn clean myself, but you have to live and you have to enjoy yourself. Please continue to drink if you enjoy it. Same goes for anything else you enjoy.

    What's artificial about wine?

ETA: if you eat cheese, it's no less artificial than wine. But that's stretching "artificial" further than most people would take it.

Drink what you enjoy. Liquor is the best bang for your buck, calorie-wise. If you enjoy bourbon or scotch then great. I love good beer, but it's a huge calorie bomb and often hard to fit into a balanced diet. Wine is a decent option, even if it's not my cup of tea.

You don't negate drinking by eating "cleaner" foods.
  • I like clean eating...I also like cheese. I aim to eat "clean" 80% of the time and not fuss about it the other 20%. Have the wine!

When I started eating cleaner I just stopped drinking mixed drinks.

I drink bourbon or scotch on the rocks, and I just recently started drinking beer. Not junk tailgate beer, but high calorie, higher alcohol content beer.
