Funny that you say you think you lost it all in the shoulders... I have lost 24lb so far and feel that I've lost it all in my shoulders as well!!!

People have started to notice, but I don't make too much of it, because I still have a lot to lose.

The first time someone commented, unprompted, and without prior knowledge of my attempting to lose weight was after I'd lost about 65 pounds.

People in my family noticed when I had lost about 50 pounds.

For the most part, people I work with never really commented on it, so I can't be sure at which point it became noticeable. Not sure why it took so much weight for people to start noticing.

My mom noticed after 14 lbs. Nobody that wasn't part of my immediate family noticed until about 25 lbs.

My coworker commented even before I weighed in for the first 5 pounds. Last time I was getting comments after about 15 pounds but this time I started heavier so itlll be another 15 I think before others say anything. If at all.
My best friend said something but only because I had mentioned working out again.
I'm looking forward to what my body will look like 30 pounds from now :)

I feel slimmer but I don't think I look different besides my face. I've only lost 15.8 pounds.

I would say around 20 pounds. That's when I also started to feel a bit better, never thought I could double that. I just kept adjusting the goal, at first it was a stone, then I thought maybe another, still not happy yet tho, bit more to go!
last x-mas after 40 pounds, family members who hadn't seen me for a while didn't recognise me! I also get embarrassed when people comment, I think I like it, but get quite uncomfortable and don't know what to say!

I have someone comment when I was down around 15 pounds, and I had more coworkers tell me I look great at the 25 lb mark. They don't seem very excited when I tell them I'm counting calories and lifting weights when they ask what I'm doing.

Most likely because most people still think theres some magic pill to pop and when they find out its just hard work and dedication, it puts them off. Sad really.

About 28 lbs. My co-workers said they suspected before, but the fact our uniform has a generous cut doesn't make it easy to spot weight loss. At 28lbs, they said they could see a definitely change in the face and that my trousers were awfully baggy.

I'm a school teacher and started losing weight at the start of the 2012-2013 school year. I lost 65 lbs that school year and really didn't get comments - probably because it was so gradual and I started at 234 lbs. But after a summer of only 5 lbs lost, I got a bunch of comments when I got back for 2013-2014. In fact, I had a teacher ask me if I needed help (I wasn't wearing a visitor tag) - she totally didn't recognize me. I had new clothes and a new cute hair cut :) At 89 lbs off I get comments often.

I'm down 20 lbs. No one has noticed yet, except my husband, but noticing stuff like that is part of his husbandly duties.

The only people who noticed, noticed it after they hadn't seen me for 3+ months.

The more you have to lose, the longer it takes for people to notice. I don't think anyone noticed on me until I'd lost 40 or 50 pounds, (other than people who knew I was working on it). But then all of a sudden everyone started saying something. I think people wait until they are *sure*, because they don't want to call attention to your weight if they are wrong. Keep going...it'll happen.

Around 8lbs but that's just because I posted a two week result pic on my FB. I lost a lot in my stomach. I am now -10lbs and ending week 3. I wish I lost in my face first! Lol

I've lost 31 pounds and nobody's noticed :(. I think it may have something to do with the fact that I gained all that weight in a short period of time (pregnancy), so maybe they're just used to seeing me smaller and I just look normal to them now?

My boss was the first person to notice, after about 14 pounds.

It took about 25-30 pounds for me (starting weight was 192) before people started to mention it. They may have noticed earlier but perhaps felt awkward about saying anything. My best friend noticed earlier, but then she knew I was trying to lose weight, so maybe that doesn't really count.

ETA: Time of year can be a factor as well. It was early spring and I'd started wearing shorts, tees, etc, so then it's easier to see the weight loss than if you're all bundled up in heavy sweaters or layers with long johns, for example.

I've lost 33 pounds and only a friend at work and a couple of people who knew that I'm actively trying to lose weight have noticed . .. or at least said anything. I've certainly noticed a difference in myself in that both my fat jeans AND my tight jeans now require a belt so I don't have to hold them up as I walk.

I'd have to say once I got below the 200 mark, so about 20+/- pounds.
Now that I am down 56 pounds (as of this morning :embarassed: ) people are always commenting on the weight loss.
Funny some people think I look different and it has something to do with my hair. Its like they can't put their finger on the reason I look different or are embrassed to ask ... but its all ok.

It took me until I lost 45-50 pounds before I began to accept it.
I'd look in the mirror and still see the 'fat' in my face. Not any more. I remember the day I looked in the mirror and saw
'thin' for the first time. Priceless moment.
