OMG I am so sorry to hear about your diagnosis, that is scary and heartbreaking all in one. I am wishing you all the luck in your surgery and hope that they get it all and you can have a happy and normal rest of your life. My mother is a 16-17 year survivor and it runs in my family, so I live in fear everyday of this diagnosis. Please be well!!
Thanks, Raasy! The good news is that the cancer I've got (colloid carcinoma) is relatively non-aggressive, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Love your mom's survival stats -- she's done a fantastic job kicking cancer's butt! Here's to continued good health for you both and keep up the good fight! So sorry!! :brokenheart: Breast Cancer is huge in my family. I started getting mams when I turned 30 years old. Prayers and hugs for you and your family.
Thanks, Jagreene62! Good for you on the mams -- keep on keepin' on!

BTW, I posted the thread below because my nodule had been discovered after I had dropped 51 pounds. The nurse I spoke with at my biopsy pre-op had also had a cancerous nodule, discovered after she had dropped 60 pounds. My take-away from that is to pay extra attention during self-examinations, because so much of the body is changing. I could find my nodule by feel once I knew where it was, but it also rests on muscle and it had just gotten lost in all the noise of my body reshaping itself.
