Lifting novice, looking for advice on how to get started on a routine. I bought New Rules on Lifting for women, and have started to read that. Any experience lifters with some great tips?
I'm looking for... how many days per week? How long for each session? Do I split up between leg/arm days?
Would it be helpful to invest in a session or two with a personal trainer to be shown the proper technique?
Any advice is appreciated!

I decided for me, it was best left up to a trainer to instruct me.
I continue to workout with him after 3 years to maintain my loss/fitness level and extra motivation.0
