I'm trying to think of a reply other than 'Is this a serious question?' But I can't

None. It was a gradual thing for me. I wanted to get my sodium under control, it's hard if you eat a lot of processed food. Now, I hardly eat any processed food at all. What hurt was when I started, I quit soda, energy drinks, fast food and candy - the act was not hard, the cravings did not exist, it was the headache for 10 days. My logging has also turned me into a pseudo vegetarian. Giving up all the crap food, I have not eaten a tums since I started. Everything is better!

I personally didn't have any symptoms except that I feel better and my food tastes much better than the boxed/processed stuff. For me cutting the processed foods was never about losing weight but more about not putting crap into my body anymore. Not that I don't from time to time eat processed foods and enjoy them, I just choose to have fresh more tasty foods in my mouth. I wish I would have done this when my kids were little so they could now enjoy eating better.
