Cinnamon

Hello,
A friend of mine told me that cinnamon boosts your metabolism, does anyone do this? How much a day and can I just take it in pill form?

Thanks,
Katy

I take cinnamon because it is suppose to boost blood sugar metabolism. As far as helping ( I have been taking it for about 4 months) I don'i know because that is the time I started exercising.....but something is working.....could be both!

It is supposed to regulate your blood sugar, so that totally makes it ok to eat it on a crumpet with peanut butter, bananas, and honey, right? I like to mix it with my peanut butter or sprinkle it over an apple or a banana. I even put it in curries. It tastes good, and that's the only reason I really need to eat it.

Yep, helps to regulate your blood sugar. My husband adds some to his coffee and his smoothies and puts it on his apples.

Ditto the above, good for blood sugar regulation. Great for diabetics. I sprinkle it on whole wheat toast, but that is because I like cinnamon toast, not for health benefits. LOL

I add cinnamon to my oatbran every morning. I love it. Other spices are said to increase metabolism. Not sure how many studies they have done. I JUST LOVE IT AND USE IT WHEN I CAN!

I remember reading a thread about this subject several weeks ago. So I went to GNC and bought a bottle of capsules. There were two different types, don't remember what kinds; anywhoo, I take one capsule every morning with my coffee. Can't say I feel any differently, but I will tell you that I have lost every single week, despite some personal issues and moving with 3 kids right b4 christmas. I think i'm in love with cinamanon!
