I found it on android market. Downloaded it, used it for a week or two before I actually logged into the website. I love the website and the app.0

i was using fatsecret.com but wanted a better food database, so googled for free sites. signed up on 4....others were all too busy and the threads were impersonal and a little rough. LOVE IT here!0

I think I googled using "calorie counting weight loss" or words to the similar effect.0

My endocrinologist "prescribed" it for me to control my Type 2 diabetes and lose weight.0

One of my friends was using it on facebook and I saw her posts. Now she's been MIA on MFP and I'm the one posting regularly0

I was looking for something that I could manage online and Lose It, which I was using, couldn't do that at the time. Also food database much larger since it's user editable.0

My daughter showed it to me right at the same time the Android ap came out. It was perfect and I've been on here everyday since.0

Android market, although I tried using another Calorie Counter app for a little while because that app's bar code scanner was really great. However, then I realized that MFP's greatness lies with its actual online site for the community aspect, so tolerating a less-rich app is OK when there's so much support.0

This was the 5th app I download on my android phone, the other ones were missing stuff.0

friend turned me on to it0

I don't have a fancy phone hehe! I saw it on one of Dr. Mercola's status comments on FB. It's cool!! better than facebook and more addicting!0

I had already downloaded apps to aide as motivational tools and logging tools for exercise and decided to go all the way…and I found mfp. I see this app and website as a Godsend. I have assisted and instructed others to log in and keep an accurate journal of their meals but have always struggled with it myself. Mfp makes this so easy its actually fun.0

My sister told me back in FEB, I was at my wits ends about why I couldnt lose anymore weight. I gave up for almost 8 months and gain back 15lbs of the 70 I lost before. When she told me about it, and it took me a month to sigh up cause I knew or I thought I would have no other choice to get off my *kitten* again. At that point I didnt give a hoot but she kept on asking if I saw the site yet and so I gave it a try and I was blown away with the amount of support and everytime I log in my foods I finally understood what was going on. That gave me the inpiration and drive to start over again and now I've been hook every since. So far I have lost 101 lbs. And feels really greatful that I signed up and of course greatful to my sister who is going to read this...lol0

I was at the dentist's office with my husband (fiance at the time) and reading a magazine. There was an article in the magazine about a girl who photographed and blogged her food every day for a year and managed to drop a clothing size. At the end of the article, there was a list of websites, mostly blogs women write on what they eat, etc.. but there was one website there for people who want to track what they eat, and it was MFP. I made a note in my phone and joined that day. I had been using another website but it was American and since I moved to the UK, it was getting harder and harder for me to use it. I come here every day now, and hardly go back to that site.0

Searched for Calorie counting apps on my phone. A few days later decided to see if there was a website.0
