i'm so happy to see people saying this.. a couple days before my TOM i was down to 201.8 then once i started i went up to 203.0 i figured it was water weight but it still made me a little disappointed but so i don't disappoint myself i am not going to weigh in during my TOM lol0

Just saying that the 1.5lb I thought I had put on disappeared after a few days- plus another 2lb- just goes to prove the point really!
I am never weighing myself during TOM again0 -
I was wondering this as well. I got on the scale yesterday before bed and i had gained half a pound....i was a bit worried. I'm 3 days in my cycle. Plus I can see my belly over my boobs and i haven been able to do that for about a week (14 pounds does wonders) I'll just wait until next weekend to weigh in. Longer you wait between weigh ins the bigger the loss seems anyways right lol0

Yes, I definitely gain! Thank goodness it's only water weight from bloating. I usually gain a few pounds the week before my period, and then drop it the week after it starts. I had a three-pound loss in two days this weekend from dropping the weight I gained during my period, lol.0

i dont gain, so much as not lose any. i'll drop weight the first few weeks of the month, then sit there for about a week or so till it starts, during i dont weigh, but after its over i'll drop like 4 pounds overnight, and then go back to losing.0

I am right there with you this week. I only lost 0.3kgs but my lady days started early morning yesterday.
It is what it is....hoping it will come off and take friends with it next week0 -
Hello back!
I know the question has been answered, but it is always nice to have soome reinforcement
I ALWAYS gain around my period.. ALWAYS! It can range anywhere from +1-5 pounds. **** happens I would be SO TOTALLY STOKED with a .5 pound loss!!! You are more accostomed to higher losses, but a .5 pound loss is nothing to shake a stick at! It is a great loss, especially on your period
There are always going to be day to day flucuations in weight, even when you are maintaining It is ok, I swear0 -
Maybe I don't lose as much as I should but I don't actually put on.0

I'm lucky as I'm the same, no losses but never a gain of more than a couple of oz, I weigh but tend not to record it that week just so I'm aware of the general trend.0 -
I'm experiencing the same thing but on a really positive note I've not experience the crippling period pain I usually suffer from since limiting the carbs and calories.0

I am in the same boat! Stupid period! I usually gain the week before because I want to eat everything in sight. It sucks, I do so great for 2 weeks out of the month then struggle just to maintain for the other 2 weeks because I gain so much before I start then struggle to lose it after I start.
This is ME!0 -
I figured I weighed a few pounds more a few days before my period until it's over, and decided not to weigh in during my period because it's just nerve wrecking and it's not even real weight gain. Still, I had doubts about whether it was just me or if that's true for everyone. Thanks for bringing that up!0

the week before tom (pms week) I gain about two lbs or so. I hate it but it happens every single month. soon as I get my first day of cycle... I lose that. I just try to limit the empty carbs, sugar and up my fiber and protein during pms week and of course drink tons of water. its a fact of life unfortunately. I hate the scale pms week. it helps me to keep a track of my monthly cycle on a windows 8 app right on my computer.0

I have gained 2 pounds over the last week, and today is the last day of my period.
Hoping for a big drop in the next few days. Please body, please. Pretty please with a cherry on top.

Every month. About 3-5 lbs.. I hate it0

Since I've been tracking my weight for almost 6 months, I discovered that I gain about 1-2 pounds when it's my TOM. It's not much but it's clearly happening because the following week I usually have a nice rebound on the scale. Thank goodness.0

I have an IUD.. and because my body is always a bit different i start feeling the begining of my period a week or more before i start... thats when the bloating starts.. its amazing after you have lost some weight you really feel the difference when you have some water retention. anyways... i feel bloated and you can see the water weight on the scale till about the last day or two of my actual period.. and then all the sudden my weight just drops. Everyones body is different. Thats why its good to do meausrements and keep a log.. quickly you start to see a patteren.0

And today my weight dropped 2 pounds.0 -
I seem to be atypical, I gain during the last couple of days and the few days after my period, about 5-8 lbs on average, but then it seems to go away in a few days ..0
