They are advisable for fitness. Protein within 15 mins of finishing exercise to aid muscle building and recovery. Also, in my case, I find it much easier to avoid a heavy 'catch-up' meal after intense exercise if I have a filling (but fairly low cal) snack soon afterwards.0
