    Do you take your sneakers/shoes off when you enter your home or do you wear them inside? If you go to someone's house and they ask you to take your shoes off before you enter, do you think of them as stuck up or no?

    Yes. Yes. Don't think of them as stuck up. I hate tracking outside dirt into my house or someone else's house.

    Always take shoes off in my house. And automatically take them off in other peoples houses.

    Always take them off right at the door and always ask others to take them off too. In other people's house, I ask them as soon as I walk in. I don't like to be disrespectful!

    Actually I think that is true, I'm Canadian and I don't know anyone who keeps their shoes on in the house, it's just an automatic thing, like taking your coat off when you come in from outdoors.

    I take mine off. Pay too much for a cleaning service to track in mud/dirt/grime. All my friends/visitors take theirs off when they come over too. Unless we have a small upscale party and the ladies are all wearing heels, and they're not tracking mud around. But we're all pretty casual people.

    I do wear house shoes though because I have a high arch and need inserts, so I wear these ugly slip on crocks every step I take around the house. They don't go outside though.

    When I go to someone else's house if there's are off, I immediately take mine off. And if they're not I usually ask anyway.

    The shoes come off immediately when I get home. It's a combination of not wanting to track mud/dirt all over and just preferring to be barefoot. My boyfriend has his routine where taking his shoes off is pretty much the last thing he does when he gets home from work, and HE is the one who is most likely to have muddy shoes. If they're really bad he'll take them off, though.

    At other's houses, I follow their lead. If their shoes come off before they step on the carpet, so do mine. If it's a hardwood floor/tile floor I prefer keeping them on, though. Flats are my go-to shoes and I'm sure you ladies can relate that they make your feet a little sweaty. So basically I get paranoid that I'm leaving sweat footprints on hardwood/tile floors. I probably don't, but it's a mental thing.

    I do at home, and at other people's houses. My parents don't and it drives me nuts. Their carpets have darker tracks where they walk. Even when it's not wet out, they're tracking in dirt.

    I take off my shoes when I'm home. And my parents taught me to take off my shoes when I'm at someone else's house unless they tell me that I can keep my shoes on. lol

    I always take my shoes off at home, and other people's houses. I don't know anyone who wears shoes in their home, it's not done here. (I'm in Canada) Carpets and floors would be a mess if we left them on!

    If I've got sneakers on, I usually leave them on when I come in and just make sure to wipe my feet well on the carpet. If I have flipflops or boots on, I'll take my shoes off right away. The difference is all about laziness (don't have to untie boots/flipflops). When people come in my house and ask, I'll tell them thanks for the thought but not to bother, especially since I'm more worried about the socks getting filthy than my floors getting more dirty.

    One of my besties is obsessed with people taking their shoes off at the door and we pick on her about it a little but don't really mind. Her house, her rules. I try to ask if I go to someone else's house.
