Welcome to March fellow belly barers, sorry I'm a bit late to the party this month!

For new arrivals BBBC is simple. Post a before photo (if you want) of your bare belly. Commit to working out regularly all month. At the end of March, do a workout with your belly out - at home if you're more comfortable, outside or at the gym if you're brave (it'll be warm by then, right?) and post an after photo (if you want).

For February's challenge, see here:

Here's my before for March:

Here's my before taken this morning.

Hopefully I'll see more difference by the end of the month. It actually surprised me how much difference there was in Feb!

Maybe by the summer if I keep at this I'll even feel comfortable getting my tummy out around the pool (if I work out where I can go on holiday!)

So what's everyone doing to get their bellies in shape this month? After a bit of a break for injuries I've started running again, albeit with walk breaks to start with. That'll be two or three times a week depending how well I recover. Cross training between - I did some heavyish lifting today with extra planks, ouch! Couldn't resist walking in the sunshine either!

Rest day today, but went for a half-hour lunchtime stomp over Kensington Gardens. I can just about maintain an average 15 minute mile pace, despite doing the whole not-getting-run-over thing at roads. I'm declaring here and now that'll I'll go for a lunchtime run tomorrow. Oh yeah.

Oh why did I find this 10 days into March! But that said I am in! However, I am going to reserve my picture for the end of the month. I do have one just not ready to share my bikini pic. :embarassed:

I continue to stick to my calories and do what exercise I can between my career, grad school and family time. Excited to see if I can view a change in myself thru the pictures.

Did it! I even quite liked it, and may even do it again some time.

Hi guys, mind if I join late too? My name's Holly, I'm 22 and live in London. Will take a pic and upload (if I can figure it out..) tonight.

Since the middle of January I've been swimming 4 times a week, go cycling on the weekends and have recently got myself a pedometer so doing a lot of walking too.

I was ravenous after my run yesterday, and still am today. No wonder I never lost weight by running alone!

UGH, march is biting me in the bum work-wise. Being the only monkey left after a bout of reduncancies is meaning I'm not only doing more than my fair share of work, but also it's really lonely and demotivating.
I'm trying really hard to do some JM workouts in the evenings after work, managed it the first week of march, but didn't manage it last week due to a combination of late nights, compulsory socialising and my housemate being a lazy pig and always watching tv in the living room.
I'm declaring now that tonight if she is in the living room I am kicking her out to do my workout. And that's in addition to my normal commutes so that's good.

Berry kudos on the lunchtime run, I'm not brave enough for that, noone needs to see my beetroot face here!

Berry dared me to do this! ...

1 year into cycling and 3 months into weights:

    2zoekvt.png

I'll do another in a few months and might be interesting to compare ... hope to see less wobble and more definition in months to come if keeping up the current cycling and 2-3 weight sessions a week up.

You and your belly are very welcome Jakess, thanks for joining us!

My weekend was quite belly friendly exercise wise, but not so much diet wise.

I did Zumba Step on Friday (a fusion too far, to be honest - neither good Zumba nor good step), picked up heavy things on Saturday and joined a running club for the first time in a good couple of years on Sunday. There's no question running in company makes me run further and faster that I would ever have attempted alone. Today even thinking about negotiating stairs makes me whimper!

Unfortunately, I also descended into an unbridled orgy of eating and drinking. This morning I'm 5lb up in DOMS and guts full of food. I'm hoping it won't stick around too long :ohwell:

My workouts aren't really happening this month, not like they have in previous months. However, my FitBit has arrived, and I am netting much lower calories than I have done in months, hopefully by the start of April I will finally be back to pre-Christmas weight...

I've been eating (and drinking over St Patrick's weekend celebrations) like a loon and need to get on top of it. I thought I'd been keeping on top of my workouts but it turns out after my rest day on Monday, I needed another yesterday because of rank insomnia and trudging round a trade fair.

However, Zumba Step tonight (still don't like the fusion, but this is with my favourite instructor so I have high hopes she'll do things better) and a new African dance inspired class called Fierce! tomorrow.

Don't tell anyone, but I'd rather be running.

<-- Especially now I have these to try.
