Can I just pretend today never happened?

Something's wrong with my hip. And lower back on the right side. It's like if bursitis and sciatica had an evil little pain baby. It hadn't been bothering me too much, so yesterday I was feeling ambitious and did a lot of cardio. Pretty high impact aerobics. I felt great afterwards until the day went on. By bedtime, I could hardly walk. I took some Aleve, but it never really helps. I was in pain all day today, so around dinner time a took a Percocet. I couldn't do much of a workout at all today, just a little yoga kinda hoping the stretching would help the pain. Anyway, for some reason, the Percocet gives me crazy munchies. I don't even want to log what I've eaten. And I didn't earn many calories at all with the yoga...

I'll get back on it tomorrow. I have a workout I can do that doesn't hurt me. It doesn't burn as many calories, but that's ok as long as I can walk at the end of the day lol....I'm just gonna act like today didn't happen...and go to bed before I eat anything else!

Yes you can, but it is better to log honestly and learn from it than to totally ignore it.

Sorry you are in pain, but I LOL'd at "pain baby." I have a host of back issues. If you have inflamed anything, better to rest for a couple of days. Hope you feel better soon!

Do what is most supportive for you.

If you are going to get obsessive over logging the food and it is not going to support you overall; then move on and act on what you want to do (your lower cal burn work out).

If logging the day will be a good reference for you in the future and it fuels your desire to push on and achieve then log it.

Whether you log today or not won't change what has happened.

i have a spinal abnormality, and a chiro taught me a stretch that fixes the sciatica.

get up on all fours, and stretch like a cat. (you can youtube it i've seen it on there) and slowly rock and really deeply stretch the side that hurts. once you get unkinked, it takes about an hour or so for the pain to subside. the stretches themselves feel REALLY good, not painful at all. and you can do it for as long as you need/want to.

If the pain continues and you don't have a history of hip pain and know what it probably is, please get it checked out. In July 2011 I tore my hip labrum (look it up) and that's no joking matter. It occurred from overextension and repetitive motions. I still can't do things at a level I used to or would like to. I should have had surgery but insurance wouldn't pay for it because that know so much better than the doctor. LMAO
As for pretending today didn't happen, you can do that but unfortunately it did and we all have those days.

I've been to the doctor, this has been a problem for a while now. It's actually why I got so off track for a while. It seemed like every workout I did would put me in so much pain! Basically, it's all from over pronating because I'm flat footed. It's pretty extreme, though, and it's thrown me out of alignment for so long that now I have chronic pain from it. I do PT and it helps some. And I have to wear certain insoles to keep me aligned. I get really tired of not being able to push my body, and I had a good couple of weeks where I was hardly in any pain so I thought it would be ok to push it. I was very quickly reminded that I can't do that lol The weight loss is going to be slow because of that and it gets discouraging when I feel like I've been working at it and not seeing changes happen. I just have to accept this is how I have to do it...I have to give myself more time to reach my goals and I have to keep at it. Slow and steady wins the race, I guess? lol

I've seen that, it does help! I went on youtube and looked up yoga stretches for lower back and legs and there are some really good ones!
