What's your favorite cardio machine at the gym?

When I do HIIT noting beats the treadmill for me. But on the days I just do steady state or a cardio program I like to use the crossramp, I work up a great swear & it's easy on my joints. However those are being phased out at my gym, so I wanted to get suggestions for another great one

I don't go to the gym, but I love my treadmill I have at home.

The swimming pool, but only if the ocean is not an option and there is no fencing session at my club.

Definitely the stair stepper, you don't even need to go fast to get your heart rate going and get sweating!

    this.

I stayed off it for years because of my pride- and got on it once and realized holy ballz.

now it's what I use when I need to get my cardio on.

I do love the rowing machine- but if I'm serious about doing cardio- stairmaster it is.

Lots of votes for the stair climber, I tried that once & set it too high. I busted my *kitten* & fell off of it & I haven't gotten back on it since

Treadmill, though only because weather doesn't always let me run outside.

I do love the rowing machine too, great whole body workout.

Rowing machine...can't beat the benefit of a full body work out ...

Although the punching bag that someone mentioned would be amazing--awesome cardio + strength + stress reduction thru pounding. Hummm.....

Adaptive Motion Trainer. I go out of my way to go to the gym locations that have them. Whips my butt as hard as the stair climber, but feels even easier on the joints. I can walk, jog, climb, whatever motions I want all in one.

Stationary bike for me. I got bad knees so the treadmill is only sprinkled in the stair stepper is out and I'm not cordinated enough to work the elliptical.

    Eliptical.

I cant do treadmill ankle issues and the bike kinda bores me.

    Also the pool is nice.

The power cage or squat rack - barbell complexes FTW.

If you mean "cardio only" machine, then the rower - even though I haven't used it in ages.

Oh no! You just lived through one of my worst gym phobia's!!! I haven't even tried it yet, but it looks to get a lot of votes here...may have to conquer the fear after all..

    The elliptical machine.

Years ago I borke my jaw. I could do elliptical machine months before I could do any treadmill/running/etc, since it's no/low impact. It;s been my favorite by far ever since. Very easy on the knees/feet/body since it's no/low impact.
