    Were is this casino?

I tell you what, if it was me. I would POWER though that Sunday. I work out, live life healthy, eat right, so I can on a whim eat something like that.

In fact I'd take pictures of it, post it on the internet and laugh about how awesome I am.

... or just not eat it and give death stare daggers at anyone eating chocolate.

Eat it slowly. Really savor each bite! If you haven't had a lot of sweets, make sure you don't inhale the sundae. You don't want to make yourself sick.

    But enjoy it! :drinker:

    ^THIS!!!^
Seriously, take your time with it and go 'mmmmmmh' at every spoonful!

    Just do it!

    Your guilt is irrational.
One meal did not cause you to gain all the weight in the first place.
One sundae will not cause you to derail or to gain it all back.
Success should be celebrated with extreme joy.
    Food is fuel, eat enough.
Food is life, you literally need it to live.
Why can't you enjoy the things that sustain you.
There are no bad foods (unless you are allergic or the dose is toxic).
Fit that sundae in your week. I say week because even if it pushes you over on the day it wont ruin your progress long term.

As far as I can tell, you earned it. Please enjoy it. :flowerforyou:

I dunno, I've done stuff like this-- promising myself reward food-- (it happened with lemon meringue pie), and then sometimes I'm not in the mood for the food I've been craving/talking about for weeks. And then I feel really let down by the food when I indulge. So. Wait until you're at the casino. Ask yourself, "Do I really, really want to eat this sundae? Or do I feel like I SHOULD because this is my only chance at a Ben & Jerry's sundae for the next few months?" If you really, really want it, go for it!! But just be aware of what you ACTUALLY want at the moment, vs what you've promised yourself.

The problem with "dieting" is the guilt that people feel when they go off plan. Guess what? It's not supposed to be a diet. It's supposed to be an awareness and lifestyle change. I eat Ben & Jerry's on a regular basis................just not the whole thing at one time. So have some. Enjoy it. And if anything check to see if they have the new CORE flavors!!!

Thank you all! I think I needed a reality check! I forget that I am playing the long game sometimes, that one day, one meal for that matter isn't going to ruin me. Its really easy to get caught up in the numbers. Thanks for all the support!

i really dont understand the issue here.

    it's um....a sundae.
    eat it.

doesnt it take like 3500cals of SURPLUS to gain a pound?

this isnt going to set you back at all.

stop stressing and have a sundae. :drinker:

HOLY MOLY!! I might have to run to the store after work today! THIS looks amazing.

I agree with everyone else, enjoy your cheat meal without guilt. It's one splurge, not the end of the world!! I've had several "cheat meals" in the last 2.5 months and I'm still losing weight! :flowerforyou:

While a lot of people say "go for it"... it's just a sundae... it's not going to make you gain all your weight back overnight... blah blah blah".... for some, this little "cheat" or "indulgence" or whatever you want to call it, might be the tipping point that could send the OP over the edge and back to eating junk. I don't know what the OP's trigger point is... but I know for me there are certain foods that will trigger some sort of response in me where I just continue with the "indulgence" for days, weeks, months...and ultimately find myself back where I started from with a few more pounds.

Go into it with the attitude that it is a "CHOICE". I have found that if I allow myself to choose to eat something I normally won't, then I don't beat myself up afterwards...or better yet, realize that while I can choose to eat it, I can also choose to not eat it and quite honestly, for the past 9 months I have chosen to "not" eat it.... maybe someday I will.. .maybe not... it's my choice...

If you do choose to have the sundae, then up your physical activity a bit and compensate with the food choices for the rest of the day. You can find Cherry Garcia ice cream in the food search... build yourself a sundae with the ice cream and toppings you want and see where it is calorie-wise... then when you order, specify the amount you want... and enjoy knowing that you have allotted for the treat.
