NSV..The OTHER section of the store!

So I just hit my 40 lb. mark. And yesterday afternoon I went shopping with my mom. I have been in plus size clothes for as long as I can remember. Well yesterday I was trying on clothes, and kept going down a size, then another, and they still weren't hanging right. So I went to the regular women's section, grabbed an XL, and HOLY CRAP, it fit! :)

    This happened to me, too! It's such a great moment. But I was shopping with my mom, and she had to go and ruin it. I said, "It feels good to be buying clothes in large rather than XXL." My mom casually replied, "Hm, those must run big." Ouch. Dang, lady.

    I know that first XL in the "normal" section can feel amazing. I know I'm in that awkward in-between stage when I can buy some things in the normal section and some things I still am a bit more of a plus size. I look forward to the day I can buy an entire outfit from the same store.
