what exercises are you doing?
Believe it or not. No exercise between 10/1 -12/1., had some back troubles and then car accident. It was all due to dietary. I just started walking again last week. 3x a week for 45 minutes - 60 minutes.
My weight loss was slow 1 lb a month, I read about how sugars can slow down weight loss. 75% of my sugars came from fruit which put me way over the MFP limit. It was recommended 15 sugars which is less than MFP limit for me. I did it and voila!! I lost 6lbs in 8 weeks with same dietary habits. Compared when I was walking everyday 45-60 minutes and including dietary regimen with only 1lb a month weight loss. Big difference!! And my tummy shrunk!!0 -

Awesome job! We are about the same starting and goal weight. I haven't seen as much change in the belly as I would like but soon hopefully!0

So then, you were having only 15g of sugar per day? My biggest problem has always been my belly and I'm a sugar addict. At 5'2" I"m only 130lbs. but my the layer of fat around my midsection is pretty bad. I've always blamed it on stress. My body has never handled stress well. But the more I read about sugar the more I believe the connection between sugar and belly fat.
So the only sugar you have is fruit? I was having a couple of fruit a day but cut it back to one. Does that mean you got rid of dairy? And do you use artifical sweeteners?0 -
So did you cut out alot of your fruit?
I go over on my sugar everday because I eat fruit 4-5x a day0 -

I eat most anything. I just count the accumulation of sugar. I stuck to 15 for 6 weeks, now I eat the MFP limit about 24. But I rarely eat that high unless I eat a fruit or have ice cream. 15 sugars for 1/2 scoop of vanilla ice cream. :bigsmile:
I think I've lost all the belly fat I'm going to at this weight, now it will only go down as I loose more weight. But I believe when I get to my goal weight I will have a flat tummy!!!
Almond Milk - unsweetened (for cereals and drinks) Silk brand taste the best to me then almond dream brand
Black Beans - 1 serving - 1 sugar
Red Kidney Beans - 1 serving - 3 sugars
Brown Rice 1 serving has 0 sugars
Brown Rice Pasta (tinkyada)- 1 serving has 0 sugars
Corn tortillas Chips - 1 serving has 0 sugars ( I eat this with melted cheese all the time)
Corn Tortilla - 1 serving - 2 sugars
Whole Grain Bread - 1 serving has 2 sugars
English Muffin - 1/2 muffin - 1-2 serving depending on brand
I make sure any meats I eat has - 0 sugars (the prepackaged meat or deli meats can have sugar, I check)
Cheese - 1 serving - has 1 sugar
Cereals - 1 serving - 1-2 sugars depending on cereal (Kashi puffs /oatmeal)
Sugar - 1tsp has 4 sugars
Veggies - 1 serving - 2 sugars (I stay away from carrots and corn)
Salad Greens - 1 serving - 1 sugar (romaine or herb mix)
Dark Chocolate - 60% Ghiradelli w/ caramel 1 square - 5 sugars - Melt this over some unsalted cashews and then freeze for 10 minutes a yummy chocolate cashew cluster!!
I haven't tried a recipie for sweet brown rice, but I like sweet rice you get in Thai restaurants, will be trying soon as a dessert.
Dark Chocolate - 82% Ghiradelli- 4 squares - 5 sugars
Almonds/Cashews - 1-2 sugars per servings
NOW - CASHEW CLUSTERS - 6 pieces / 3 SUGARS (VERY YUMMY AS DESSERT) sweetened w/sugar cane juice
FRUIT - Berries for lower sugar content
I use butter
Mayo made with olive oil
The one thing I have that is a diet sugar is : Cary's Sugar Free Syrup (tastes good) for when I occasionally eat french toast or pancakes(uses malitol)
I drink Shakeology made w/ Stevia it has a super berry blend, that I utilize to get more nutrients from fruit. 1/2 serving - 5 sugar
I have found that I stay under MFP limits (24) very very easily. I actually started eating chocolate square almost every night because I had sugars left to eat if I wanted.0 -

Yes I was eating about 3 serving a day. Now I only get the fruit from my shakelogy it has super fruit berry blend. I don' t get to bite into a yummy plum but I get the nutrients. The y recommend berries I don't like berries. So I avoided the 6weeks at 15 grams
Now at the 24 MFP limit instead of 15, I can eat some fruit if I want. They say having a serving of fruit or 2 once you reach your goal is okay. It's just for me the suar was spiking my insulin which was really affecting my bodies ability to loose weight. Not gain weight but the ability to loose weight at a reasonable rate. Before 1lb a month, now I do 1lb a week.0 -

Sizes? Not sure. I was stuffing myself in my clothes Larges or 12 & 14. But now everything is very loose. And I can now ever wear my medium tank shirts I had in my closet. And size 14 clothes don't look right on me.
I have a complete size 12 wardrobe that I almost can wear, I refuse to wear until they are loose, not stuffed in a like a sausage!!0 -
