... but I do love that show!
I just finished watching the first part of the season finale and it is so inspiring!
I danced for 10+ years, from the age of 4 to about 14. I definitely have the dancer gene in me. It is my one true love, as far as hobbies go, and I never have been able to recapture that feeling of being on stage. The really tragic part is that I quit. I was systematically pushed into classes that were below my ability and I can remember standing in front of everyone while my dance teacher pointed out that the jacket on the costume didn't fit. Really terrible that adults can do that to kids...
I blame the rediculous dance teachers for my decision to quit dancing, but I also blame my weight gain. I couldn't keep up anymore. I love watching that show, because those people having amazing strength and talent.
I really hope that some day I can keep up in dance classes again and have that part of my life back. It is great motivation to keep me going back to the gym.
PS: Anyone else addicted to the show???

I am totally addicted to this show! I am in AZ so I still have about 15 minutes left to watch. They are truly amazing individuals. Some of the things they do are just absolutely crazy! :noway:0

 I am totally addicted to the show. However, I will have to watch it on my DVR. I gave up tonight to catch up on my new favortie show ...Weeds!! I love this show. Showtime rocks. I have been watching So You Think You Can Dance since it started. I like it better than American Idol.0

i love it too!!! AND... fellow dancer here too girl! woo hoo!
danced for about 18 yrs from 4 to almost 21, did a few years at the Boston Ballet school too and did a few productions w/ them...was the best time of my life...up til being a mommy! lol
but I know what you mean, I was never rail thin, but had like a 23 inch waist, 34 hips, and 36 chest...so I was very happy!!! VERY HAPPY!!! and then I stopped dancing and bomb....it started creeping up...omg wait I can't eat what I want and remain this way????????? ...that's when I started running....my life saver....but after my son was born I gained a ton of weight which I am still strugglin' there was never enough time to run or dance...BUT NOW w/ MFP and you all helping me out I'm back to DANCING and RUNNING again woo hoo...
I say you if you're really missing it go find a good adult class girl....YOU WOULD LOVE IT....or just do your thing at home w/ your favorite music!
big hugs and sorry to ramble...having my coffee now ...sigh....lol

I love this show, too! Even though I was shocked when Will went home.
Overall, I am not sure if I loved this season QUITE as much as last season in terms of personalities, but it has been fantastic and I am constantly amazed at what these dancers are able to do. And I love how they've been incorporating so many more dance styles in this year. The pas de deux a few weeks back was amazing!
I don't really care too much who wins at this point. My hubby (who is also addicted) thinks that Katee will take it because the Twitch/Joshua vote might split - but it also seemed like Nigel was pushing for Twitch. So who knows? I'm excited for the finale tonight - I really enjoy all the group dances as well.0
