I believe that the very first record album that I purchased with my own money (probably birthday money) was The Police's Outlandos d'Amour.

As a child of the 90s, I shamefully have to admit it was a venga boys album

purchased from an actual record shop: Nik Kershaw... can't remember if it was The Riddle or Human Racing though.... I had both of them but can't remember which one I bought first

purchased from a jumble sale for pennies (when I was even younger): I think it was Dougal and the Blue Cat from the Magic Roundabout.

I've never bought anything on vinyl or cart/8-track.

On Cassette, I don't recall. Could have been. . . Russ Taff eponymous album.

CD was Whiteheart Freedom. Still one of my favorites.
