I have no idea what cassette tape was my first, but I'm going to guess Madonna's Like A Prayer, because I played the **** out of that thing, and I know it wouldn't have been my mother who bought it for me. I was 9, so there's a distinct possibility it was given to me for my birthday...

    CD? Pearl Jam- Vs.

Metallica specifically for Enter Sandman. I discovered the Christmas lights I had strung around my room flashed in time to most of the album.

When I was 15 I used my birthday money to buy Evanescence's Fallen. My best friend let my put her copy on my computer before that. My second was My Chemical Romance's Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge. (I'm only 24...don't judge me haha) (still a HUGE Evanesence fan though....)

My first cassette was Ozzy Osbourne - The Ultimate Sin

The first album I bought with my own money was Blondie Parallel Lines.

I was 9 years old, and whenever I hear any of the tracks today, I wonder what my poor mother must have thought as she listened to me belt out the lyrics.

Very inappropriate stuff for a 9 year old!

Ozzy was almost my first concert. My older sister offered to take me with her friends, but my dad said "no" b/c I was only 12 and his rule was we had to be 13 before we could go to a concert. I was pissed.
