I'm thinking it was a different KISS album, but this one shortly followed.

It was so long ago I'd just be guessing.

I remember getting a single of Little Willy by The Sweet at the dime store. I think I probably got my first album there too. An actual LP too. It may have been Michael Jackson -- Off The Wall.

I bought the Mortal Kombat soundtrack back in the 90s with the money my grandparents gave me for gettings A's. ($5 per A, $1 for B's, it was a good incentive).

I was obsessed with that movie, still have it around somewhere. And the second movie soundtrack, too!

When I was a kid I had tons of different records but I am totally unsure which was first, or which actually belonged to my parents, etc. Some of the ones I remember having are

    Michael Jackson/Thriller
    American Graffiti soundtrack
    Grease soundtrack
    Yentl soundtrack
    Saturday Night Fever soundtrack
    Blondie
Alvin & the Chipmunks (singing pop and rock hits)
    Cyndi Lauper/She's So Unusual

oh and lots of the little records (45s?) some from Show Biz Pizza.

I do remember the very first cassette tape I bought. Madonna "True Blue". I was 9 and bought it with my allowance.
